Life Lately...

So my Chloe bug is 8 months old! Very crazy! She is turning out to be such a curious, energetic girl! Its fun to watch her and see all the things she likes. She loves loves loves playing with her toys. Her favorite toys and these animal figures. They are bright in color and have big cute smiles on them. Chloe loves music and singing. She also has taken a liking to my parents Border Collie(dog), Sadie. Sadie is very protective of Chloe. But when she is around she is very calm and gentle. Sadie usually ends up licking Chloe's face which sends Chloe into a giggling fit.
Well on Black Friday, my mom and I took Chloe out and went shopping. She shopped at Baby's R Us and got a ton of amazing deals. We were able to get her a nice high chair at an amazing price and also got her a jumper activity center. Chloe then got many new outfits. She is set. :)
Chloe loves to wave at everyone and everything. I taught her how to wave hi and bye bye, but now she waves excitedly at everything! Its pretty cute though.
Chloe can also say a few words. Her first word was Dada. Then Mama, and baba and uh oh! She sometimes will say hi! but I don't think she has any idea what it means. Dada is her favorite word to babble on and on about. She only says mama if she is irritated or wants out of her crib... Nice, I know.... All I can say is my baby is just the cutest and I love her so much.

Mommy Destressed! Items I can't live without! (Well I could...)

I never thought that being a mom would be so tough. But don't get me wrong. It is the best thing ever. But for all you new moms, it is difficult getting into the mind set that all of your time will go to your child. Any time I do get, I try to take care of myself mentally/physically so I can keep going throughout the day. Here is a list of items I can't live without.

First, if your lil one is clingy or stubborn about napping, these are heaven sent!
BABY EINSTEIN DvDs.

These are educational movies that will keep your babies interest for about 20-30 minutes. They are full of captivating images that will grasp your babies attention. They are also full of classical music, good for your babies development. My little Chloe loves these videos. I get 30 minutes of time to do some cleaning or time to myself. You can order these off of amazon.com or buy them at Target or BestBuy.

Next is MOUNTAIN DEW or Caffeine

I don't drink this like crazy, but with late night feedings or Chloe waking up early it really gives me a pick up of energy.

Third is perfume. Mainly Couture Couture by Juicy Couture

One thing I am picky about is if I smell good. So this light crisp scent is perfect for me. And it isn't over powering. I don't have to worry about my baby being over powered by the perfume. Another plus is this scent lasts all day! You can buy are fine retail stores or sephora.com

Fourth: Mineral makeup

Being a mom means not having the time you need to completely get ready. I'm not big on make up, but I love mineral make up. It is quick and easy and leaves my face looking even and clear. It also doesn't clog your pores! So less breakouts!

This brand is from eyeslipsface.com and runs about 5.00 per foundation, blush and concealer. A LOT cheaper than name brands, and I think eyeslipsface is better than the more expensive brands. They sell all sorts of make up that starts out at 1.00 a piece. You can usually get your order very cheap if you sign up for their weekly e-mails and get codes for 50% off.

For now, this is all I can think of that helps me day to day! Feel free to leave comments about what gets you through the day.

6 month photo shoot

6 Months already!

Wow. Sorry I haven't blogged in a LOOONG time. My lil squiggle bug Chloe is growing up so fast! She is 6 months old and full of energy. Right now she is 27 inches long and 17 lbs. She is so energetic and wanting to see the world. She is almost to the point of crawling. It will happen any day now.It is so crazy for me to see my lil baby grow up so fast! Just yesterday we had to lower the mattress in her crib.
Chloe loves her baby gym (exosaucer)She will stay in that for hours spinning around and playing with her toys. She started to become bored of it, so I took some link a dink rings and attached her favorite toys all over the gym. They are hanging all over, but she loves it.
Chloe is very responsive and loves to giggle. She especially loves it when her daddy comes home.
I will try and be better about posting Chloe's new adventures.

One Year Anniversary!

So the past couple of days have been marked with exciting surprises thanks to my wonderful husband, Jeremiah. On Friday, he took Chloe and I to Temple Square to take pictures of the temple and beautiful flowers, and of course our beautiful Chloe. We then ate at the top of the Joseph Smith Memorial building at The Garden. They have the best fried pickles. :) Saturday took a bit of a turn when Jeremiah sliced his pinky open and had to have stitches, but after a doctors visit, we dropped Chloe off at Grandma Shirley's and headed off to see How To Train Your Dragon at the dollar theaters. It was a cute movie. I really enjoyed it. Afterward, we ate at Mi Ranchito. Very yummy Mexican food. We then drove to American Fork where I enjoyed an hour long massage while Jeremiah went shopping. When he picked me up, he had a surprise bag full of my favorite candies, a beautiful necklace and a teddy bear. Also some balloons and a "1" candle. :) He also got me 5 awesome cards. :) Such a sweet guy. And today on our actual anniversary, I made a yummy meal for us. Rice and a broccoli, chicken and cheese casserol. Also some peach jell-o with raspberries, and strawberry jell-o with sliced up strawberries. Then to top it off, a chocolate fudge cake. :) Later we are going out to take family pictures together. A great weekend!

Owie......

So this morning, my poor hubby cut open his pinky finger on a spring that is poking out of our mattress... Yeah. We need to get a new mattress. Just no money! We had to take him to the instacare and get it stitched up. Luckily they numbed his finger before the doctor stitched him up. He got about 4 stitches put in his finger... We just need to keep pain meds in him and his wound clean and it will heal nicely. Get better Jeremiah!

Carter's Baby Clothes and hats at the DOLLAR STORE!

So I went to the dollar store yesterday to get soap (I love Yardley's brand soap and that is the only place I can find it) and I took a gander at the baby isle... To my surprise they had baby clothes at a dollar a piece! And they were name brand! Carter's! The had a lot of boy items, and the only thing they had for girls were these 3 hats. They were soo cute so I had to get them! This is the dollar tree off of 400 N in Orem UT. Pretty cool deal! Get there quick before they are all gone!
